Growing Up Celebrated

bringing Girls Club to Chagrin Valley all year round

What is Girls Club

Girls Club is a small-group program for girls in grades 3–5 where conversations about bodies, puberty, confidence, and growing up are honest, age-appropriate, and celebrated.

Girls have space to:

  • learn accurate information about their bodies

  • ask questions comfortably

  • practice self-love and reflection

  • connect with girls going through the same stage of life

Hey there!

I'm Kate Breed

Certified Girls Club Teacher

As a mom of a daughter, I’ve become increasingly aware of how important it is for girls to have accurate, age-appropriate information about their bodies before confusion, embarrassment, or misinformation fills the gap.

That’s why I was drawn to Girls Club.

Girls Club helps girls learn about anatomy, puberty, body safety, self-love, and sisterhood in a way that is honest, empowering, and age-appropriate.

I look forward to bringing these conversations to girls and families throughout Northeast Ohio.

My hope is that every girl who attends leaves knowing that her body is powerful, her voice matters, and she can trust herself.

Why Girls Club?

Growing up deserves more than whispered conversations and internet searches.

Education. Real information, age-appropriate, matter-of-fact.

Celebration. We learn that our bodies are an amazing gift! Capable of incredible things. When our bodies change, it indicates that we are growing into a fuller, more powerful, more expressed version of ourselves. It’s a reframe. A shift from dread to celebration. This is something most of us never got, and it’s a gift we can give our girls now.

Self-Love. Practice speaking loving kindness toward ourselves, out loud, in a room of girls doing the same.

Sisterhood. I really do think this is the magic. It’s the small group. Girls in a community with other girls going through the same things, and a trusted adult right there with them.
